Your Retreat · Casa Arkaana · Riviera Maya

Your retreat.
Our jungle.

Your facilitator chose this place for a reason. Here is what awaits you.

The container
"Part of the healing comes through feeling the fresh air — the jungle air."

Casa Arkaana is not a hotel. It is a living sanctuary — off the grid, powered entirely by the sun, nourished by its own well. There is no air conditioning. The windows stay open. The jungle comes in.

At night you hear the crickets, the bats, the howler monkeys. In the morning, birdsong before any alarm. The space itself begins to regulate your nervous system before the first session starts.

Maja and Asdrubal built this place to serve exactly one purpose: to hold people in deep transformation. Every space, every meal, every detail was designed with that intention.

You are safe here

This is someone's home.
And you are welcome in it.

Maja & Asdrubal live here
This is not a managed property. The founders are present on the land every day. You are in the care of people who have given their lives to this work.
Safe for solo travelers
Many guests come alone. The atmosphere at Casa Arkaana is that of a family home — warm, grounded, and deeply intentional about who is in the space.
Intimate group sizes
No more than 20 participants per retreat. You will know everyone by name within the first day. The small container creates depth.
Experienced, conscious hosting
Maja and Asdrubal have hosted hundreds of participants. They know when someone needs support — and how to provide it quietly, without disrupting the group.

"I came for a week off — I left with a completely new perspective"
Amanda Torres · Breathwork Retreat · Denver CO

I honestly just wanted to disconnect for a week. No phone, no emails, just breathe. But what happened at Casa Arkaana was so much deeper than that. The jungle at night, the sounds, the ceremony in the temple — I had this moment on day three where I just started crying and I couldn't stop. And that was okay. Everyone held space for me. I went home and quit a job I'd been unhappy in for years. Best decision of my life.

"The place has something you can't put on a website"

I've been to ceremonies in Peru, in the Netherlands, in Portugal. This was different. The temple at Casa Arkaana has this presence — you walk in and your body just knows this is the right place. The sacred tree, the pool reflecting the stars at night, the howler monkeys in the morning. It's not a backdrop — it's part of the process. And the food — Maya's kitchen — I've never eaten that well during a retreat. It felt like someone was nourishing you back to life.
Lisa Chen
"I felt safe enough to actually let go"
Lisa Chen · Yoga & Meditation · San Francisco

As a solo female traveler, safety was my number one concern. I almost didn't come — you know, Mexico, jungle, ceremony with strangers. But from the moment I arrived, I felt completely held. The space is gated, the staff lives on site, and there's this family energy you feel immediately. Maya checked on me personally every morning. I could finally stop scanning for danger and just be present. That's when the real work started.
